1. What is "LCD A-D Controlling board?
LCD A-D Controlling board is an assembled PCB that controls LCD panel and converts video signal received through its video input port such as VGA, DVI, or HDMI into a video signal that's compatible to what the attached LCD can receive. Often screen quality is heavily affected by the A-D board, and that's why it's very important to use a good quality board, especially in expensive systems.

2. Why is "PCB Design Service" important?
Most LCD panels have different requirements for timing, voltage, and connectors, and this calls for LCD Driving board that is 100% compatible to the LCD panels used. We have expertise to design, source, and customize a right LCD Driving board for your LCD panels.

3. What is Open Frame?
Open Frame refers to the metal frame used to enclose a LCD display system which are consisted of LCD panel (sometimes with a touch panel integrated), A-D board, and Power board. This frame often comes with mounting flange with holes to make it easily mountable inside a kiosk or outer system fixture. The open frame often can be custom-designed to fit a customer's specific requirements.

4. Questions about "Touch Panels"?
Types of Touch Panels are Resistive, Capacitive, Projective Capacitive, IR, and SAW. On most small screens, resistive (cheaper) and projective capacitive (better performance) are used. Our facilities are equipped with a clean room to professionally integrate any type of touch panels for your LCD panels.

5. What is "Optical Bonding"?
Optical bonding process include (1) adhering or laminating a protective glass (or touch panel glass) to the top surface of an LCD panel with an optical-grade adhesive such as a slicon based gel, (2) curing and solidifying of the bonding material to affix the panels together. This process fills internal air gap between the top glass and the LCD panel which eliminates internal reflection and prevents moisture. Thus it drastically improves optical performance and increases readability even under bright sun light while providing stronger protection and preventing dust and moisture to get in between an LCD panel and a protective glass. There are two types of optical bonding processes: (1) "wet" bonding using silicone, epoxy, or acrylated urethane; (2) "dry" bonding using OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive). The process and material will be chosen based on optimized mechanical and thermal properties required for each project.

6. What are "LCD enhancements"?
LCD enhancements are physical processes where the characteristics of LCD are categorically improved. You can add Anti-Reflective film on a LCD panel to improve readability. Another way to enhance the viewability is to replace with high power LED backlights to an LCD panel and make brightness level very high. For many outdoor LCD systems, both the optical bonding and the backlight enhancement are applied.

7. What are "Weatherizations for an LCD system"?
These processes will improve an LCD Panel's susceptability to temperatures and weather for outdoor or extreme conditions. We can add ITO-based heater onto a LCD panel or self-contained AC/ Heating unit inside a chassis to improve temperature range. Also for outdoor and/or harsh conditions, we can design a custom chassis with full weather proofing.
